Why This Role Matters
You won’t just be making sales calls, you’ll be shaping how our products show up across pharmacies nationwide.
As a Telesales Representative, you’ll own a defined portfolio of pharmacy retailers, building trusted relationships and influencing purchasing decisions that directly impact Douglas’ commercial success. Your ability to connect, understand needs, and position the right products will drive revenue, strengthen partnerships, and elevate our presence in the market.
This is a telesales role for someone who thrives on results and momentum. In your first 6–12 months, success will look like consistently achieving sales targets, building strong retailer engagement, and becoming a go-to contact for your customers. You’ll have structure through a call cycle, but real autonomy in how you build relationships and close opportunities.
What you’ll do
Own and execute a structured call cycle across your pharmacy portfolio to drive consistent engagement
Promote core product lines, new launches, and campaigns to maximise sales and order volume
Build strong, lasting relationships with key retail contacts to unlock growth opportunities
Confidently handle objections, negotiate outcomes, and influence purchasing decisions
Accurately process orders, replenishments, and promotional deals during customer interactions
Maintain clean, up-to-date CRM records to support effective account management
Collaborate closely with the National Field Sales Manager to align on strategy and performance
Gather and share market insights, customer feedback, and competitor activity
Support D2C (direct-to-consumer) enquiries, ensuring timely and high-quality customer responses
Provide backup support to the Customer Service team during peak periods
What you’ll bring
3–5 years’ experience in telesales within pharmacy, healthcare, or FMCG
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue through phone-based engagement
Strong persuasion, objection handling, and negotiation skills
Experience using CRM systems to manage customer interactions and sales activity
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
High level of organisation and ability to manage a structured call cycle
Tertiary qualification in Business, Health, or a related field would be advantageous
Understanding of the pharmacy retail landscape is a plus
Experience supporting D2C or customer service environments will be a great advantage
Familiarity with systems such as SUGAR CRM or similar would be great, but ot essential
